Not feeling too well again today, I'm going to start off, I'm going to start off today finishing up the PowerShell script, I need to separate them and I need to make them start for each user to configure it because we don't have an Active Directory server, we don't have an ADDS, we really need that to make these kind of onboarding processes easier and setting up the computers, we can't because TCC won't let us unless we go with a cloud based solution which is going to be like 300 US a month on an entry level package. But I'm going to separate the scripts and I have remote desktop software so I'm going to preload the scripts into the remote desktop software we now have licensed, save them as a template and that way we can just onboard with that but it's not a solution, like it's not a good permanent solution but it'll work for now. I'll also add Action 1 to manage the software subscriptions on there and it could do script deployment on there as well but again it's not a final solution because we can't use organizational units like we can in Active Directory which means that the whole computer is prepared for all users equally the same when that's not the way that it should be set up.

I also really need somebody like an intern just to help me out with this kind of stuff. At least I could delegate, you know, the computer set up to them and any kind of research or small odds and ends. So I might put some feelers out at the end of the day, maybe just check online if there's a student that's looking for an unpaid internship or something on a part-time basis and, you know, maybe we can get them going. But I'll have to do that at the end of the day because I don't want to get distracted today. I'm hoping to have these scripts separated and everything set up by noon and then I can switch to the ERP finally and hopefully stay on that for the rest of the week.

Just had a quick call with Maha. She wanted to know how to edit something. There was a bit of confusion why she wasn't able to do something on the office computer, and the reason behind that is we have a separate account set up for the office computer that doesn't have as many permissions. That's just a security measure so that regular staff don't go in there and start changing stuff they're not supposed to. It's only meant to allow people to create reservations and finalize everything on the computer and add clients. But there are some other restrictions there just to keep Suite 13's information safe. But that has been resolved and she was able to make the changes on her phone. The interface was probably just hard to navigate around.

I separated all the scripts I had made for the tweaks and experience customization and uninstalling all the bloatware. I still have to do the customization of the user start menu and a script for installing management applications, including the remote utilities in Action 1. I've also copied the script to change the computer name, but that should be done at install anyway, so it's not really needed. And I copied the upgrade to Windows 11 in case it's a Windows 10 installation and have the Windows 11 ISO downloaded as well.

Greg called and told me he's no longer working there, so I'm going to block his access everywhere.
6:50PM
I removed Greg and did some of the installer scripts I just got a phone call so I'm gonna hop off now and stop working
