Just got off the phone with Troy, he's got a couple small things for me to do.
1:34PM
COMPLETED TASK: Need to order soft bones from Motorola.
1:34PM
COMPLETED TASK: Remote Utilities
3:56PM
All right, quite a bit has happened. I was talking with Troy, oh yeah, I already put those tasks in, so that was done. I mean, I just got off the phone with Troy as well, had a quick conversation, a quick update, regarding the cell phone service that he wanted to open up. There's two options. Jack's, I got off the phone with Jack before talking with Troy. The $750 credit is still available for ported in numbers until January 15th, 2025. So I'm going to stop by Chatter later on and see if they can get this kind of custom phone number with that ending to get the credit. And Jack's going to be looking up to see whether or not he can get the first two numbers, 613 call USP or 613 best USP. He's going to look into those and he's going to see as well if there's any that end in 4USP or 2USP.

I also got the demo back for Hoodoo. It's a place that I'm going to use to organize all my IT assets. I've only started entering a couple things, but it's already proving to be a very, very good tool, especially for managing passwords, for managing any kind of assets, like computers, for phones. It's giving me kind of one area that I can go and manage everything. It also integrates with Outlook or Microsoft 365, which will help me keep track of licensing, active users, permission groups, company groups, etc. I do need to configure some stuff in there, but I'm not going to spend the time to do that right now because there's other priorities I have to take care of. For now, I just set up the basics. At least I have a password manager established in there. I have the Magenta users, and I'm going to add some assets like computers and whatnot later on, but for now, I'm going to just keep it as minimal as possible. There is an option to add guest users as well, so I'm going to add Troy later on so that he has visibility into everything as well.
3:59PM
The track car server is also crashing, which is causing a bit of issues. I'm not sure what it is. I'm not really spending time on doing that right now. My goal that I'm focusing on is, I think I am gonna abandon the Manage Engine MDM and switch to Intune again, just because there is much more seamless service that I can get with Intune. I know it's missing a couple of features like the tracking, and I know it's missing a feature like the remote viewing, but there are applications out there that we can use to enable remote support, like TeamViewer for remote viewing and remote support. And for the location tracking, this track car server that I'm working on could be a good benefit, because then we can get separate devices as well and have them work with the server for the trucks and trailers. And that way we have one management pane for all the location services.
4:00PM
Right now, I have to prepare a list of things that I want to do in Intune. I would like to prepare this for my meeting. I have a meeting tomorrow at 4 p.m. with somebody that used to work for Microsoft doing Intune setup and support. Now he's working for a private company that has a federal government contract to set up Windows 11 upgrades for all Windows 10 computers because they're dead, they're end of life. He's also setting up some Intune things. He's very familiar with it. So if I could get a quote from him and offload some of this work, I'm sure he's going to whiz around and he's going to have better insights than I will in this, considering that he worked for Microsoft before. I do need to get this kind of list prepared, though, so that he knows what my requirements are short-term and long-term.
5:01PM
I'm still working on the list.
