And getting the computer ready for the new person.
3:02PM
So, this morning I set up a computer using my automated script. Everything seemed to work. It was done within like an hour and a half, two hours kind of thing, which was really good. There were some small issues around the way, which I had no problem addressing, but I would like to make this system more scalable or more user-friendly so that anybody could do it. For example, just at the office, and a little bit more prepared for errors and to see a visual interface of what's going on. The issues that I had is with the activation key, I had to manually do that, which again, no problem for me. I have to update that in Teams, actually, that I use that code. And then there was an issue, it showed me an error in the script while trying to do something in the script with Microsoft, I took a screenshot of it on the Microsoft server and it said there was an error. But when I checked on the Microsoft end, it ended up adding it, so I just, I'd like to suppress that so that it doesn't confuse somebody. The other issue is that setting the computer name didn't actually work. And I feel like it's something with that that's causing the issue. I feel like we have to wait for it to provision before changing, I don't know. But I think that's where the error might be, because it returns the ID, but it's probably not assigned, the profile's not assigned, so we can't actually change the name before. That very possibly could be the issue. Anyways, it worked good. And everything actually, aside from that, loaded up automatically and was doing good.

I did do some of that troubleshooting today and just taking notes. I do need to however look at These guys doing the video I sent them an email in the morning they replied back But Yeah, they said they'd have something at the end of today for us to see anyways I'm just updating some of the some of the stuff. So I'll I'll just keep my eyes peeled on that
3:03PM
I also went into the office, dropped off the computer, set it up, helped move some tables around to reconfigure things and change some power plugs around so that we don't have like this big power plug complicated thing going on, but I am kind of daisy chaining plugs. So anyways, that's a place that we have to work in, so, you know, beggars can't be choosers, right? But I made it work. And connected her computer. I do need to order a part right now on Amazon, a DisplayPort 2 HDMI converter, because that computer only has DisplayPort, well, three DisplayPort, one HDMI, and we want to have dual monitors for her.
3:04PM
Now I'm just connecting to her computer and whenever this actually starts to work, hopefully sometime soon, I'll connect to her computer. She just needs help installing Bluebeams. I'll show her where company portal is and then go from there.
3:14PM
Alright, so I helped her, I showed her where it is, I'm going to let it install and then I'll connect back in a little bit and I will turn her computer off so she can go home now.
3:14PM
A bunch of, for now, because connecting later is going to be quick and easy.
