6:15AM
Bluebeams finally sent me the instructions for SSO and SCIM, so I'm going to set that up right now. I'm going to read it through. I'm going to set it up right now.
9:34AM
So I've completed the single sign-on and I've tested it with my account and I just called Daphne not too long ago and had her exit her app and sign in. I now also replied to Bluebeam and so I just have to wait for them for the second part of it, which is the SCIM integration. And that's going to sync our group so that we can organize, we can actually assign licenses to our users in Microsoft without even going into Bluebeam's anymore. Although if we add new users, I believe I will have to upload the list of new users so I might make a quick script to convert that. SSO is done, tested, and I sent out a message in Teams as well to everybody. I sent an email to Bluebeam to let them know I'm ready for the second stage because we had to test to make sure that this works. Right now I'm also looking at just the updates on the different computers that are necessary because that's part of my job. I see an email here from Martin so I'm going to check that.
9:34AM
Oh no, this is the same one from yesterday. Just saying, great, we'll send those revisions back and we'll be in touch.
9:36AM
When I figure out whether or not we're going to have to re-upload the lists of people every time we add a new user, I'm going to document that I created a Teams channel for this, so... Woo! I'm going to document the whole process that I did. Hopefully I remember. It wasn't hard, I just followed their instructions in the email. I had to log in to Entra.Microsoft.com, download a list of our users, download their template, take the users that we had in there, and match them up with our Entra IDs, and yeah. Anyways, I've just got to find out if moving forward, if it's automatically going to create a Bluebeam ID for a new person when they log in, which I assume is going to be the proper way. I think so, actually, so I'm not going to waste my time making that script, actually. Okay, anyways, I'm going to look at the updates that are needed for these computers.
9:59AM
Just updated Paul's computer, gonna uninstall some stuff on Chris's computer as well.
10:00AM
I'm just uninstalling Zoom and TeamViewer. TeamViewer can be reinstalled again, but it usually has some vulnerabilities. And Zoom is not really the ideal thing to have on a computer as well. So I'm gonna do that. I'm gonna uninstall Webex, McAfee as well because it's garbage. And I think I saw Teams Personal there as well.
10:04AM
Okay, I have the old computer, the old Surface that Tony was using before I upgraded him. I'm just going to try something here. What does it say? Oh, there we go. Alright. So, I'm just going to check if I can remove old users from it.
10:21AM
Just looking at Dylan's computer, he's got, like, very little space left on his computer, so I'm going to try to free it up.
10:35AM
Dylan has a really big page file, so I want to see why it's that big.
10:40AM
I cleared up some room for him, but I think we should give him this computer, and I'll take that old computer from him, because this one's got much more storage, and it seems like he's using it, and he's a project manager, so we'll need to, yeah, so it'll be better uh, it'll be better anyways, to give him that computer.
10:46AM
I just sent Dylan a message, so this computer that we got for Tony, it's a Surface Pro 7 with an i7, 16 gigs of RAM, and 512 gig hard drive, and Dylan for some reason is on an i5, same thing, Surface Pro 7 but with an i5, only 8 gigs of RAM, and 128 gig hard drive which is really limiting for a project manager, so I want to upgrade him to that computer.
10:47AM
I also need to find out why every time I log on, it sets a default printer, but it shows the terminal window. It shouldn't do that, but anyways.
10:51AM
I'm just logging into Intune to see why make default. Why the make default? Install network printer. Set default user printer. Install network printer is set to be run as system. Whereas, it's a user-based install. But, it's included for all devices. This one's included for all devices. What's the check? Ah, it checks current user. OK.
10:55AM
Okay, so no errors were thrown, which is good, but I'm not sure why it's showing it visible. But let's try something else.
11:04AM
Alright, I tried to do something different. I mean, it doesn't really bother too much, just a bit of a flash of a window. But, yeah. Yeah, I'm going to look at making a script at the network scanner.
11:12AM
Logging into one of the tablet computers, or the TVs, so that I can get the MAC address. Oh, printer.
11:22AM
Alright, I got what I needed, an app, a name, I don't know why my music keeps stopping. My favorite song, it's not playing anymore. Anyways, okay, I did that, now I'm going to see if I can find a way to automatically discover that Mavic.
11:37AM
Connecting the TV board again, just to try a couple of things.
12:37PM
I'm still looking through these logs to see how to get this to work.
12:53PM
Okay, this is taking too long like it's there's no practical physical way apparently to do it I could keep looking forever Oh
12:54PM
All right, Martin sent the revision, so I'm going to review that right now for the videos, social videos.
12:57PM
Yeah, they're not bad. I have to look over them more in detail and make sure. They didn't choose a rock one, they chose the other one, I guess. My fault in that case, but anyways. I'm going to look over it shortly.
2:22PM
Just going to call Sam real quick. I want to clarify something about these morning minutes. I tried to call Caroline, who seems to be in charge of them, but maybe Sam has some insights as well.
2:23PM
Actually, I'm going to try calling Caroline again.
3:45PM
I'm just gonna put the build a Bluebeam script to disable the in-app updates so they're not getting annoying things and I'm gonna put that in action one instead of Intune so I could just deploy it when I need it.
4:25PM
Alright, I finished that and I deployed it. So, certain computers it will deploy automatically. And yeah. So. Seems to be buggered out. Oh, that's because it's a status. Anyways, that's it. I'm going to finish for today. It's already... How long was I today? Already 10 hours. Yeah, I'm done for today.
