12:08PM

Still working on the ERP summary.

12:32PM

I'm just going to update the internet status on the farm and teams.

12:49PM

I just re-delegated the permissions as well for Amber, Sherry, and Alex to Sam. I'm just looking here because Amber's mailbox completely disappeared. I'm not sure why. I'm just looking here because Amber's mailbox completely disappeared. Yeah, I'm not sure here what's going on. But I want to see if I can find... I'm just going to look around here to see if there's a content search or something.

12:51PM

okay come back to the ERP stuff

1:59PM

I just got a call from Simon. I should, I will, I'm going to wrap up what I'm doing here. I got quite a bit done with this planning. There's still a lot left to do, but I will pause this and I'm going to go meet with Simon.

4:52PM

So I just met with Simon. I think I got some pretty good clarity. I don't know why I didn't think about it before, but it kind of makes a little bit more sense now. Again, it's not my area of expertise, which is why I need to consult with other people and figure this stuff out. This is just, you know, where the time kind of adds up is trying to figure out how to make sense of it for myself and how to make it work in the ERP, how to bridge the two things together. Because a lot of people are doing the same, you know, multiple jobs here. It's like, how do you merge that into an ERP? You can't. And the reality is that it shouldn't, because what I learned from here is that this driver was actually doing kind of a partial dispatch role as well, dispatch and logistics role as well himself, when really that's a separate department. Even if it's the same person doing it, it has to be different views. And that now makes sense. So in summary, what I figured is that we need to have a dispatch portal and dispatch will then coordinate and they'll see what the POs are and they're going to pretty much make a way trip for the driver. Here's where you're going to pick it up. Here's where you're going to drop it off. And the driver is only going to see that they're not going to be doing any thinking. In the event that, you know, it's the same dispatch as the delivery driver, then it's just something that, you know, the delivery driver would log into the dispatch portal in the morning and he'd preset that stuff up. And even when things come up, that's something that could be adjusted from dispatch. And in fact, it's probably better for somebody in dispatch to do that because they can make the phone calls, not relying on somebody driving a truck to make these kind of phone calls and figure it out. But the dispatch in the office could make these phone calls pretty quick or message people or talk, you know, coordinate with other people in the office, and then update the route for the driver and the driver just sees the...

And just a little bit more quick summary in terms of what I did, I was working on the ERP planning for most of the day. I think the only thing that I deviated from was to try to get Sam some delegation again in there and just try to look up what was going on with Amber's mailbox that went missing. And I still don't know what happened with that, but anyways, there was that, and then yeah, ERP planning. And what I was working on is kind of just this feature list in terms of how the drivers are going to interact. So now I could actually adjust my whole section for the driving section that I was kind of stumped over. But I started working on the HR modules as well, and started working on... Didn't do procurement yet, but I did HR, I did accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, and a couple other things as well. So yeah, Monday I'll have to resume and pick that up.
