Magenta Construction

7:54AM - 7:15PM (11 Hours 21 Minutes)

10:38AM

Dang nabbit. Bell just called me. They're supposed to be there between 12 and 5 and they're supposed to call me before they arrive. I'm in the middle of working on this ERP and I gotta stop now I guess to go there and meet with with him. Fuck, that sucks. I wanted to eat before going today as well. I thought I'd have a bit of time but... Alright, time to pack up and go.

1:05PM

Alright, so I am at the farm. I got here a while ago. I got here at 11.45. Anyways, yesterday or the day before when I was on the phone with Bell Resolution, Marco was the guy's name. I told him like, yeah, tomorrow or Wednesday, any day is fine. So we agreed for tomorrow, aka today. Between noon and 5pm is when the install was supposed to happen. And then I told him as well, hey, just make sure this guy, the technician, calls me before they show up, like when they're on their way. It was going to take me about half an hour to get down there, pack up and get down there, at least half an hour anyways. So this morning at 10.45, I get a phone call from the Bell technician, or a little bit earlier, maybe 10.40, whatever it was. And he says he's already there. And I'm like, alright. So I was supposed to get a heads up because I'm not there, but I'll pack up now, finish what I'm working on and I'll be on my way. It's going to be at least half an hour before I get there, at least half an hour. And I said, you know, you see this overhead line going from the pole to the bungalow. We want to replace that with a dual fiber line for both the lines. Or if you don't have a dual fiber, then run a single line fiber beside it, but ideally dual fiber. And he said, well, we don't have dual fiber, which is a lie. He's stupid because I know they do. So I said, OK, well, then just run it up the pole and run it to the bungalow the exact same way as it's doing it on the outside of the bungalow. And I'll be there by that time. Is it OK? I'll wait for you here. So going down the highway and right when I'm getting off the Kemphill exit, Bell technical calls me. So this is probably eleven twenty five or eleven thirty. And they ask when when I'm going to be there. Technicians wondering. I don't know why the technician just didn't call himself, but I said GPS tells me eleven forty five. I will be there. All right. Bell technical hung up and I kept going there as I'm pulling up, going down the road here on River Road. I'm coming...

1:09PM

I think the upload probably went all the way, but the voice audio, but the text got cut off anyways. Yeah. So when the bell tech showed up or when I, when I was pulling around there, uh, you know, I saw, I saw some kind of a bell technician, uh, showing up, uh, but I, uh, I, I just thought that it might've been a different truck by the time I got to the driveway, uh, the bell truck. So, uh, so I tried to turn around, try to get ahold of him and then by the time that I followed him and got to the end of river road, where the split was, he was already gone. Yeah. I didn't know if he went left or right up by that time, I was already on the fault with bell and told him the whole story and they were like, originally he was saying that he's not going to come back there today. And it's like, well, fuck your schedule between 12 and five, not, you know, in the morning and specifically 12, none of which was, was there. And you know, I told them that as well, I gave him instructions on what to do to run the line from the pole to the bungalow. He confirmed, he saw and everything. And then he said, yeah, okay, he'll wait there for me. And, uh, nothing, none of, none of that work, none of that line work was done. And I showed up and he was gone. Everything was just like, he could have fucking run the line because that's going to take him at least half an hour, 20, 30 minutes to run that line before he needs to get inside. He chose not to, lazy fucking prick. And they were trying to see to reschedule and I'm like, I'm not going to be rescheduling this to another day. If this is going to happen again, over and over, like I can't, can't keep wasting money. Can't keep idling. Anyways, I'm going to try to do some work at the, at the farm I pulled up there. I'm not going to intrude on the, on the homeowners and it's 32, 33 degrees outside Celsius. So I'm not going to sit in this black car and just waste gas and idle the car and wear on the car. So I'll try to see what I could do in the farm, but the internet kind of...

3:24PM

Bell finally came. I am here now. It's not being necessarily run the way I want it to be, but I'll figure it out and I'll make it work. But for now, he's here and he's doing the install.

7:15PM

All right, so the bell guy came, did his stuff, he was a little bit lazy, I kind of figured it's supposed to be there 12 till 5, but apparently he gets off at 4.30, he didn't want to run the wire overhead, so when I told him I want to go put it overhead to blend it in, he said oh I gotta go down the road and do this and this first, didn't really seem like he wanted to do work, so I said fuck it, don't worry about it, just put it on the ground. I didn't really do it the way that I wanted him to do it, but it's okay, I'll do it myself I guess. Anyways, I will need a fiberglass ladder and I'll need to put the two cables, and we can do our connection from there I guess. Yeah, everything on the building side, the car side should be fine, in the basement, the house, all I gotta do is just plug it in, one cable later after I test it, I'll be testing it in the street, so all that's left is fiberglass ladder and put the two fiber-optic lines and merge them together, figure out which one comes from the house, and then yeah, so actually I'll have to go into the house twice to shine a laser through to find out which one of the two drivers it is, but yeah, so anyways, that's that. I'm gonna finish, I haven't eaten breakfast yet, I'm dehydrated and tired, so I'm done for today, and I'll take a break when I can get a pack of ice, I'll be right back.
