Magenta Construction
8:47AM - 4:45PM (7 Hours 57 Minutes)
8:50AM
So I started at 736 12 a.m. I totally forgot to check in. I checked into my other app that I use, my timesheet, but I forgot to do this and at 8 o'clock I jumped into a meeting with Indictrins Tech, another ERP developer, and I kind of have some ballpark. I have from two companies some ballpark which seemed to align. We'll need to do a little bit more work. I do got to prepare the views and the final vision. But yeah, so anyways, I just finished the the meeting with them and no, today I can't do any ERP work because I got to prepare. Computer from Sam. And fuck the phones. I gotta follow up with this guy for the fucking phones.
8:57AM
I do have a note here in my tasks that I'm going to follow up with Bluebeams real quick to see if they resolve the issue. Thanks for the update, I'm going to read a quick email here.
8:58AM
I just sent an email to Lillian at Bluebeam Support. She's Tier 3 support specialist. She's the one who paused, or instructed me to pause the provisioning and remove the integration until this is resolved. So I'm just following up with her to see if it's been done. So I'm going to wait to hear back. In the meantime, I'm just going to make my task list right now for today.
9:16AM
I'm just going to update the farm internet to say that it was cancelled and I received the label forwarded from Justin, so I'm going to print that out.
9:26AM
Alright, so I'm waiting for another email. I filled out the return form and I'm waiting for another email. From them to Justin and he's going to forward it to me.
9:34AM
I'm going to extend a real link warranty as well while I'm at it.
9:46AM
I just created a new shared mailbox, IT.assets. I extended the Reolink warranty so that we have those assets, so that we have the extended warranty.
9:53AM
So I'm doing a couple of things at the same time here. I am setting up the computer so I can write these scripts. And I'm also going into Armada to see if I have, oh wait, what the fuck? Some devices have firmware updates, global view firmware check. Okay, oh the firmware has been updated, why is it telling me, okay, I just want to see if I set up a VPN in the, I think I did, but I think I deleted it, I'll have to check later.
9:57AM
I'm going to see if I can connect to the real link from my computer instead of my phone. And I'm entering password into the computer. I did the local account bypass on this computer. I'm going to see if I can connect to the real link from my computer instead of my phone. Ummm... I'm going to let this do the setup. Yes, I did the bypass on the local computer, so I can just use a regular account and not have to do a domain join.
10:01AM
I already had the Reolink app on my computer, so it turns out there's an upgrade, so I'm just going to let it upgrade. It's blocking my screen. I'm going to have to email from Justin. Oh, there was also some reviews that were left. Okay, I'll just have to go to Canada Post on this. With this Weibo, you don't have to print anything.
10:08AM
Alright, I configured the Reolink OLED settings, and I'm just going to set up this computer.
10:16AM
Alright, the computer is finally set up with an offline account, so I'm going to start to peel into this.
11:17AM
Now I'm in that computer I'm trying to see how to make the changes but I'm going through a lot of logs and I can't I can't seem to find what I'm looking for there's a lot in here
12:20PM
I'm trying to work on a fix right now. Huh, I'm trying that. Fucking connection. MMMHHMMHMMHMHMMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMHMH
1:20PM
I'm writing the script now that I found a solution.
2:10PM
Alright, I've written it, I'm going to test it now.
3:07PM
Bluebeam got back to me by email. Still a couple of weeks before they could do that. So I'm gonna pull this forward another, what, fifth, one, two, three. Pull it forward another three weeks. I'm still kind of testing this script, a couple of things I'd have to fix, so I'm working on it.
4:39PM
I'm still debugging, so here's how long it takes. I make a change in the file. I've got to copy the file from my IDE. Switch over one tab. Go to my virtual computer. Delete the old Intune Win file. Go into Source. Open RGB, paste the file in there. Copy and replace. Go back. Open the Intune Win app. Go back into Source. Right-click, Copy as Path. Paste it in the converter. Go into the folder. Copy as Path on the file that's going to run. Go back to the root of Intune Win. Copy the output folder as Path. Select No for no cataloging. Go into the output folder. Find the file. Copy the Intune Win file. Go back to this computer. Paste and replace it on my desktop. Right-click it. Run Intune Win in Sandbox because I have that extension installed on this computer. Go back to my IDE. Scroll to the very top. Get the Install command. Copy that. Switch back to my next tab, my next window, or my next desktop. Paste it in. Run. Now I wait for Sandbox to start and run. Now it's running. I've got to go into File Explorer. View, Show, Hidden Items, This PC, C, Program Data, Magenta MDM, Open RGB, Logs. Open the log. Scroll down to the bottom. Ask Element is missing a required element or attribute subscription. How do I close this? Go back to my IDE. Got to scroll down. Because I had Event Trigger listed here, I thought I got rid of that. Now I can save it again. Close file. Go to my next desktop. Go into my remote computer. Delete the Intune Win file. Go into Source. Open RGB. Paste the replacement file. Copy and replace. Go back. Two folders. Run the Intune Win installer. Go back in. Copy Open RGB as path. Go into Open RGB. Copy the path to the installer. Go back out. Copy the path to the output folder. No cataloging. Go into the output folder. Find and copy the tool. Get out of it again. Paste it on my desktop on this computer. Right click. Run Intune Win in Sandbox. Switch to my other desktop. Scroll to the top of my IDE. Copy the install command. Switch back to the other desktop. Paste it and run. This is again...
4:39PM
So that was how long it takes me, about 7 minutes to test something, because every time I have to fix it, compile it, bring it back into my environment, test it, wait for everything to load, and then find the logs and read the logs.
4:44PM
I don't know what this issue is something is going on I'm gonna have to read the Microsoft Developer Network docs it's 430 440 I really really don't feel like doing it now by the time I start reading those docs I could end up reading for half an hour I could end up reading for an hour and a half with numerous tries in between like this is this is something that unexpectedly doesn't work because Microsoft is really picky with their XML formatted scheduled tasks so this is kind of like a snag if this wasn't a snag it would be done already but since it's a snag like the timeline to fix it is unknown I might as well say it's gonna take a day or two days I might as well say two days because that's how long it could end up taking it could take half an hour an hour could be done in two hours I think maybe two hours maybe three hours but there's a lot of tweaking and trying something and seeing if it works and I don't even know if it's a problem with the code or if it's just sandbox and the way that it's not using a service account so I might have to actually test it on a real computer and if I do that that takes even more time it's not seven minutes to test it every time it's gonna be like 15 minutes every time or more even to test so it's a really slow process it's the way that it is it's the way that things work and it sucks I hate it they they should have just a way to test it quicker without even compiling it just I like my files and select like test as in tune when but it doesn't exist so there's a lot of steps in between that take a lot of time anyways I I don't know what the issue is I am not gonna spend the time to figure it out now because if I do it's gonna be another day I finish at 7 or 8 o'clock and I need to I still need to clean up my tools and everything from installing at the farm so I'm gonna focus on doing that because I gotta get my my entryway cleaned up I can't it's been like it's been waiting for about to do their install and it's tools were waiting at the front door for a long time I...
4:45PM
Alright, I've shut down my remote environment, I'm going to have to bookmark this. I know what to work on on Tuesday.
